Designing an AI assistant built for everyday creativity and clarity
The goal was to design a mobile AI experience that feels as natural and responsive as texting a friend, but powerful enough to support a wide range of creative and practical tasks. From chat to image generation, the focus was on clarity, speed and trust, creating an interface that surfaces AI capabilities without overwhelming the user. The result is an intuitive, human-centered assistant that fits seamlessly into everyday workflows.
Balancing power and simplicity through iterative, user-led design
Our process began with mapping core user intents, from casual conversation to content creation and image generation, to ensure the interface supported natural discovery with simplicity. I worked closely with engineering to prototype fast, test often and refine details like response flow, loading states and tool affordances. I focused on reducing cognitive load, guiding the user with subtle cues while keeping the interface quiet, responsive and intuitive.
