Chainlink Metrics
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink provide a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure offchain computations for enabling feature-rich applications. Chainlink currently secures tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, insurance, gaming and other major industries and wanted me to design a new section within their platform for people to explore key metrics including network coverage and adoption.

Create a central place within Chainlink’s web presence to expose key network metrics.
We had to consider what data was readily available and also what data Chainlink wanted to share publicly. We then started to research the most effective ways of presenting specific data types and categories. Other considerations included the hierarchy of the page, where the new page would be located and what chart frameworks could be leveraged to integrate.

We designed the Blocks Design System and Metrics was one of the first projects to battle test it.
The design system leverages design tokens to establish color usage for light and dark mode in addition to typography, spacing, semantic structure and chart components. I worked closely with front end engineers to implement and test components focused on elegant interactions, quality and performance.
